In Japan again
So as it works out, we`re stopping in Nagoya for a night on our way to Europe. The most important part of this is that it means nobody has a good reason not to be well-rested before our flight tomorrow, which is important because after we get in to Paris we`re probably going to have to drive straight to Avignon.
It also means that I`ll have a chance to meet up with a friend I met in Edinburgh last year who lives not too far away. So it`s actually quite a nice little break after the craziness of the past few weeks, and especially the past week. We had some fun in Singapore, but it was pretty much non-stop work for me. Even after getting the show up and running I was still spending much of my free time working on press materials for Avignon and Edinburgh. Not much fun. But it`s done now. I have one project left to finish up for Edinburgh, but that should be easy, so I should have a good deal more time to explore and do non-work stuff in Europe. Seriously, except for a little hanging out after performances, the only free time I had in Singapore was from 4-8ish Monday evening. Everyone else had already gone out to do stuff. I just wanted to get out and see something besides the same few blocks we walked by every day, so I went for a walk in the other direction, got lost (basically on purpose) and then had to find everyone at a food court near the hotel. I didn`t even get to use the pool in the hotel.
Anyway, it`s about time for us to get going. Will write more and post pictures in Europe.
