very quick run-down on life
Finished in Avignon, party for the shows in our theatre and because I'd been cooking all day I hadn't packed, so didn't get much sleep. The next day we took a bus to Marseilles, hopped an EasyJet flight to London, then took a train to Victoria Station, then walked to the bus station there and caught an overnight bus to Edinburgh. This was all much more complicated than it sounds, due to the fact that we were 9 people traveling with 13 large bags and boxes along with hand luggage. We almost weren't allowed on the bus to Edinburgh, but desperation and a fiver to the driver in Edinburgh got us there. I spent that day (the 30th) finishing my cue sheet and planning, and the next day in the theatre, where we managed to get about twice as much time as originally scheduled, which was very needed. We opened yesterday, after I spent the morning sleeping, with three members of the press in attendance and around fifty audience, which is tremendous for a first day in Edinburgh. There were a few noticeable mistakes (we forgot to turn the workllights off), but overall it went really well. The critic from The Stage seemed to really enjoy it, so that's a good sign. He gave us a good review last year too. If you know anyone who may be in Edinburgh, please direct them to C main, -1 (minus one) theater at 6:45pm. Okay, that's it for now. Half an hour to load-in.
