eggs

I just went for a quick walk around the block and passed one of the
most bizarre things I've seen so far: The ground floor of this fairly
new-looking, glass and polished stone office building around the
corner was open-doored, mostly glass anyway, so I could look in and
see what was there. And it was filled with stacks of eggs and a guy
sitting there in a chair. Not really much else, aside from floor
space and a little dust. The eggs weren't in cartons, they were just
piled up, each layer separated from the next by a square of egg-crate
cardboard. Mostly brown, some white. ?????
