Happy New Year, almost

Ooog. So now I've been in Shanghai since Wednesday afternoon. Didn't
really accomplish anything yesterday, as I woke up early with a nasty
gastro-intestinal bug. Spent just about the entire day in bed.
Fairly late in the day I managed to keep some juice down, and now I'm
feeling like I'll probably actually eat some dinner tonight. Don't
know that I'll be up for going out or even staying awake for midnight,
but we'll see. It'd be kind of a shame to be in a city like Shanghai
and not go out for some sort of celebration. I think I've got other
stuff to talk about, but I'm still pretty wiped out.

Shanghai has some awesome architecture. It snowed last night. It
looks like I'll spend some time travelling with Shannon, one of the
guys who was in the course with me, while I look for a job. Somewhere
further south. Write more later.
